Going to try and get my engine mounts loosened this evening, to raise the front of the engine to get to the front sump bolts to remove the pistons to finish the ring job (that sits in the house that Jack built).... Any hints/tips on getting these suckers loose? I have them soaking in PB Blaster but when I tried a week or so ago, it seemed like it was going to be difficult to get a wrench in there..... TIA

Dan, the sump bolts or the engine mounting bolts? That latter can be a pain. The best set of tools I've found recently have been the ratcheting wrenches. Sears sells them under the craftsman name, and the Gearwrench name. The craftsman brand is about twice the price, they're thicker, but you can switch directions. The Gearwrench brand have thinner heads, and for $40 I can manually turn the thing over if I want to go the other direction! I've been able to get them off using those.
Dan it may take a bit of pinpoint heat to move those bolts,, and if it does, get a new set of mounts..the rubber through age can let go and then your fan flies into the radiator. get replacement mounts and tear the old suckers out....and don't forget new bolts also. happy trails
