I'm in the process of buying a 1500cc MGA 1957 Coupe. The engine number is 15FNH34943. I can't seem to locate what the FNH means. Usually the numbers start with 15G....
Can someone help out on this one?

That engine would be from a Nash Metropolitan. In the US, it was a common swap for a broken engine. In the Nash, it would have had a different head and carb and would not have had a tach drive(also would have been painted green). Other than that it is basically the same as the MGA 1500.
