Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, another powerful Chicago-based political figure associated with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and other long-time associates of Democratic Party presidential candidate Barack Obama, is leaving no doubt about what he thinks of the leader in the campaign for the White House.

He says when Obama talks "the Messiah is absolutely speaking."

You can watch it for yourself on a newly posted YouTube video.

Addressing a large crowd behind a podium Feb. 24 with a Nation of Islam Saviour's Day 2008 sign, Farrakhan proclaims,

"You are the instruments that God is going to use to bring about universal change, and that is why Barack has captured the youth. And he has involved young people in a political process that they didn't care anything about. That's a sign. When the Messiah speaks, the youth will hear, and the Messiah is absolutely speaking."

This type of blind adoration is what leads to dicatorships. I am not saying Obama is a dictator, or possible dictator, but it is dangerous.

What is wrong with asking, why is that these types of people like Obama?

Blind adoration is dangerous. That is all I said.

Respectfully Fred, the blind adoration charge fits pretty much any way you spin it. For example, I could ask how anyone could be so blind to our current status to vote for anyone remotely connected to the current administration.

Tell me, how is Obama supposed to control Farrakhan's statements? There are no nuts who support McCain?

I think the Bible predicts the coming of Obama before the return of Christ!

I appreciate your respect and honor it, but dude ... Is Farrakhan, domestic terrorists, foreign dictators and a host of really weird A-list celebrities endorsing McCain? What is it about Obama that appeals to these people? Why is that the enemies of our freedom want Obama as President? I think that is worth asking.

At the end of the day, a lot of Obama supporters don't care about anything else other than getting him in as President.

So it does not matter what I say.

Oh Fred... you just don't like Obama... it's Ok... you don't need to find a reason why someone like me might believe in his politics.

I don't think he's a Messiah... I don't know any other liberal that does either.

Is it really that unusual for a man who fashions himself a minister (like Louis Farrakhan) to use a word like Messiah... not really.

I also don't know any liberals who have blind adoration for Obama... I don't get all …weak in the knees, when I see him on TV. I like his policies and the direction he wants to take America in, most of the people I've talk with feel the same way.

The reason is simple. In a poll that asks a very simple question: "Are you satisfied with the way things are going?" the Gallup Organization recorded the lowest positive respond... EVER!

http://www.gallup.com/poll/110983/Americans-Satisfaction-AllTime-Low.aspx

12 years of Republican control of Congress and 8 years of Republican control of the White House have created an economic morass so deep it has people referring to a repeat of the Great Depression. That’s some accomplishment.

When you consider that the last Republican President GHWB #41 also cratered the economy, I wonder why rich folk even bother to vote Republican… it seems to me Republicans just end up costing us all money!!!

This is a true story about Power and Adoration. After GHWB had been out of the White house for a few years we hired him to do a speaking engagement for a meeting we were producing.

I asked one of the Secret Service guys what was the strangest thing about doing these corporate gigs with the President. He said it’s always in the receiving line after the program. The company big shots get to do a grip and grin for a picture with the President. He said that at every session someone gets so focused in on the President that when it’s their turn to step up for their picture… they forget to step! From 5’-6’ feet away they just reach out for the handshake… and do a face plant! I went down stairs to check on the progress of the shoot… and sure enough I saw two different people do exactly that.

The Secret Service guys are so good at spotting it that they “made the catch” before the person actually fell on their face. They just grabbed then… positioned them with the President… and then gently slid them out of the backdrop… it was something to watch.

So what you are saying is that because people do not like the way things are going, they are willing to swing all the way to the far left and elect some dude with no experience, who associates himself with haters because he preaches for change (albeit without any concrete plans).

Is that what you are saying?

That's like saying, "last for years have been a drunken stuper so instead of sobering up, let's go try crack...."

What kind of management consulting does your business do, Steve? You've managed to stay in business for the past 16 years, is that about right?

I wish it was that simple, but I am glad that I have found favor and understanding from you. Maybe I can call on you to intercede on my behalf when the Potentate's people read these threads and bring me before his highness for certain judgement ;)

On another note Steve, to your other point, I was in Sacramento and was given a private tour of the Capitol. We came up on the portraits of the governors and the first portrait was Reagan's. It was placed behind glass (the only one behind glass) because when people saw it, they immediately were drawn to reach up and touch it.

An emotional reaction. So in one respect you are right, but it also reenforces my point. Folks are too caught up in the moment and star power and are removing themselves from the facts. And that is dangerous, whether I like Obama or not, McCain or not, or whether I was burned up in Jack's asteroid.

It ain't weird Mike! It IS REALITY!

If that doesn't get our attention and make us think, then Heaven help us, one and all.

Absolutely right on Ryan!

And I go back to my belief that the citizen gets the government that he/she deserves. No thought, no wits, no involvement equals what you see coming over the hill.

Those that are so completely livid with anger over the present administration and mess that they can't see this guy for what he is, well...as I say, Heaven help us all.

Hi Marc,

Well lets see... what positive thing can we say about the policies that have lead us to this day... I can't really think of anything! Could be that a cahnge in some of the policies that have been implemented are in order... they don't seem to be working too well.

I tend to think that the tax cuts of the current Administration are the crack that Republicans can't seem to get away from.

Hi Chuck,

I'm in the corporate meetings and production business... have had my own business since 1977... I've seen a lot of ups and downs.

Ryan, isn't the difference Obama supports his nut cases. I am not sure who you would list that McCain supports on the level of Farakan. Don't say Bush because it is a shot but doesn't deal with the issue.

Anyone who is going to put the blinders on and consider that the problems we are in today were caused by 8 years of Republican leadership is kidding themselves or are limited in scope by partisanship. If we use that as the base to start the rebuilding of the economy we are in for a very long and deep recession.

You can already see the decisions or lack of decisions because everyone wants to see the Federal Government fix the problem. They are the problem, and they have been the problem for 50 years.

The plan of the past 50 years did not work and we now see the results. If we look just at 8 years we will leave the foundation of the problem and the solutions will be more of the same. Our Government has just gotten too big and we can not afford it any longer. We are so indebted to the Government there is not enough capital and momentum to move ourselves out of a problem.

Think of trying to swim to the edge of the pool and getting out. You can make it but are pulling a dead weight of the Government at all levels. There is not enough free money to pull.

What did you think happened in Iceland. They did not have enough of an economy and a European type tax structure. We are close to that. Europe will have their normal fix they will try to bring even more into the Government.

Think of it another way, when you are in trouble financially you do a couple of things. You cut costs, you look for ways to make more money and relieve the pressure.

Now what is the Obama plan. He wants to add costs to the business owners and corporations doing opposite what you would do. He is going to increase the size of Government doing the opposite of what you would do. We have billions of barrels of oil we could get access to and generate more income for our Government and he will do the opposite. He will dis incentivize them from helping the economy and helping the people for a social reason and a special interest reason. He will punish the very people who could help us. All of his instincts will be to do absolutely the wrong thing.

Yet the people will vote for someone who would do all the things opposite of what we know is right and think he is smarter than us. He does not have a clue, they do not have a clue. If they did they would do something.

There must be one heck of a lot of money lying around....after all the bailout money etc...Pelosi wants to now give us all $600 to make us feel better.

I had trouble with the Bushman giving tax rebates etc. Where is all this money coming from?

Is China bankrolling us?
