Hi all,
I reckon I am stretching your willingness to help out to the limits, but when reassembling all parts under the dash, I also painted and refitted the plate through which the hot air is distributed to the 2 flexible pipes which go to the top of the dash. Bit of fiddling but all went in o.k.
So now I have glued new vinyl to the cover that surround above plate. When I removed it a couple of months ago (ok, maybe more like a year ago) some pieces of felt (?) fell down from behind the cover. As you can see, I can not re-use it. What is best to replace it with? Is there a cheap but practical solution?
Again; thanks for your input!

How hot does it get back there? I'd like to think you could use a heavier felt fabric there, as long as it doesn't get too hot. ( cotton felt will burn) Unless there is a fire retardant felt out there. Luck, Mike
