Let me pick your brains on this....i'm trying to find some small (3/8" o.d.) fiber washers to use between the conv. top studs & the body to avoid marring the new paint. i've looked at all the local hardware stores, big & small, specialty fastener shops, elec. supply houses, etc. Everybody's seen 'em but nobody knows where to get 'em. is there a mail order source or any other suggestions?? Thanks again for your help

gary,
how about a plumbing supply store? if not, find the material you want to use and punch the washers from that. use a leather punch or piece of pipe for that diameter.

also, another suggestion may be an industrial supply house... or maybe an auto body supply house may have what you looking for.. and my last suggestion as to where to look is an actual nuts / bolts supply house..

these 3 locations are ususally located in the yellow pages of your local phone book, depending on the size of the town the books service...

good luck

From the posts "my 2 cents", I guessd that this was about a different kind of fiber. : )

I found some little thin nylon lookiing washers at a Lowes Home Improvement store while picking up some S.S. screws. They fit like they were made for the job and worked great.
