I use a pump that is used to fill the lower end of a boat motor. They are cheap and disposable. They are little more than the kind of pump used on a catsup or mustard container. They are often available at auto parts stores.
Don't put gear oil in your tranny!! Put in engine oil 90 wt, gear oil will ruin it.
I use a small 12 Volts oil change pumpe I bought from a boat motor service store about 15 years ago.
Very comfortable and fast uo use.
Either this...

...or this...

I use engine oil as well. Going on 15 years and 150K miles and still shifts fine.
The 90w made it so the overdrive would shift when it was below about 50 degrees.
I use the pump that Steve has pictured - and it is sold for filling the lower end of a boat motor. Got mine at PepBoys.
The workshop manual calls for 20w50 motor oil in a 4 speed transmission and hypoid gear oil in the differential.
The gallon pump works great cut of the top of a gallon milk jug or water jug. Pour the oil into the bottom of the jug place pump in and pump away. Does not take long and mess free.
Thanks much all.
I punch a hole in the lid of a small plastic drink bottle and force a clear plastic tube in to the bottom.
Fill with oil.
Then squeeze bottle.

The oil bottle that came with the diff oil is like that. Made it real easy to top up the oil in the diff.
I'm keeping it after/if the oil gets used.
