The fan wing has been around for as long as I can remember. As a kid I remember people building models playing with these designs. Hi drag.

I was working on a vertical take off craft but got side tracked. Opposite side corner motors rotate the same way but the other two opposite corners move in reverse to counter torq. That's the way it was suppose to work. I had some difficulty getting it airborne then latter realized when I did a motor swap a while back I got one the wrong way. I have been so busy with the car restoration I have not had a chance to get back to it.
