Cool JD, was that from HUD?

There's a great new book out on Paul Newman, that chronicles his racing career, titled 'Winning' (after the movie of the same name). Lots of photographs and stories. He really drove a variety of cars (a TR6 at one point), and took racing seriously, but was always fair on the track.

You had to admire him as a person.

Those guys, Newman and McQueen, were the coolest.

You got it Wyatt. "Shakin' the bush, boss, shakin' the bush.
Yup Bob, there will never be another Newman or McQueen. They were the coolest of the cool. Jack Nicholson will be there also.

There are some close contenders now but still slightly lack that special spark:

I watched "cool hand luke" with Jenny and she was just mesmerized with Paul Newman.
