Someone told me in a past post what the front hub nut size is but I can't remember. I though it was the same as the rear. I'm headed out to get the correct size socket and want to make sure I get the right size. Also, how hard is the hub going to be to get off once I get the nut off. The manual says to use a special tool but of course I don't have it and will have to improvise.
Front Hub question.

I did a search and found reference to 1 1/8 as the size of the socket for the front and 1 5/16 for the rear. Numerous references to getting a thin wall socket for the rear.

You don't need a socket on the front hubs, those nuts are never tight. A pair of Channel-Locks is what all the mechanics use.

I don't see how, I have Wire wheels and the nut is recessed way into the hub...It must be on bolt on wheels that its easy to get to.

No, you'll need a socket for those. I think JDW must be referring to the bolt on kind. He's right, those aren't that tight and you can use a set of vice grips to undo them.
