What are the symptoms of a right front wheel bearing going? I know the one up front is a bit loose and I have it on my list of things to do with a friend shortly. Yesterday while out cruising the coast with my wife I noticed a rythmic grinding noise coming from the right front. I reminded me of maybe just the break pads now very worn and catching on a warped disc. It also appeared to slow the car at the same pace. The only time I noticed it was when we were coasting. Thoughts?

ave suggest, you pull the wheels both of them and get a real good look....
Based on your note any grinding should be looked into and if you have worn brakes and warped rotors....spend the time and money to go through it completely..order today have it tomorrow (brit bits Sam may have the stuff on his self....down time nearly nothing. make it safe and then enjoy.
This may help when you get into it.

Hi Carl:
If it is the front right bearing(s) the noise will probably be more pronounced while turning to the left as more load on the bearing. Don't wait to fix, damge beyond the bearing gets more expensive fast. (Two days at a gas station in indianapolis in a former life!) BTW the bearings can be had at NAPA as well as the inner seal, but not the shims or the grease cup retainer dealy (if you have wires). AHhh, the coast of Maine in June....what better place to be?
Regards, Manning
