Will the fuel guage from a 64 B work in my A? The fuel guage out of my A is bad, but I have a 64 B parts car that I think the guage is good in.

Yes, if it is one that does not use a voltage stabilizer. I think that the stabilizer may have been introduced sometime around then though. I know that the 63B I had did not have a voltage stabilizer. In fact it had Jaeger gauges and not Smith.

Different part number, so probably not. I think the sender units have different resistance range. Can you measure the resistance range of the sender unit from the '64 B? MGA sender unit goes 0 ohms empty to 70 ohms full.

My car came with an MGB gauge and it works fine.
