On several occasions recently,I Have found a small spot of gas under the 75B after returning from a drive. Today I tried to start the car and the fuel pump did not stop after a few clicks as usual. It kept running and the car tried but wouldn't start.Any Ideas,Suggestions?

Probably not a fuel pump problem, but rather a fuel line problem. It sounds like you've got a split in the rubber line somewhere that was leaking before and is now either dumping fuel or just not allowing fuel to get to the carbs.
Could the pump have failed internally? Isn't there a diaphram that does the pumping? Maybe that failed, so matter how long it "pumps" it won't move the fuel. Easy to check, just pull the fuel line at the carb and watch to see how much fuel comes out as the pump pumps.
Jim,
Last week my 80 MGB was reluctant to start. Finally got it started. Checked gauges, 1/2 tank of gas. Drove 1/4 mile smelled gas, I stoped car raised hood, did not see anything wrong. Kept going. about one mile later I was sitting at a light and someone pulled up beside and told me something was "leaking" out of the back of my car. I turned around and headed home. Lacked about a 1/2 mile before I ran out of gas. When I towed the car back to my shop, got car on jackstands etc. I saw that the "top" fuel line had cracked nearly in two where it enters the metal fuel line that runs to the carb. I thought that I was in luck, I cut hose and had enough "slack" to reconnect. Put in a couple gals. of gas, started car, checked, no leaks. Drove from shop to house to get my wallet, got out, fuel was pouring out again. Coasted back to shop, now found that top fuel line had cracked at the "banjo" bolt right at the pump. Ended up pulling fuel pump, and replacing BOTH fuel hoses like I should have to begin with. I hope this save you some time.
Dave
