i had a dodgy fuel guage/sender issue, i think i've fixed it now with a bit of cleaning etc.. what i want to know is when the sender unit is extracted from the tank where should the float lie? at the moment it's perfectly alligned with the pick up tube, is this correct?
when i put my finger through the hole where the sender unit goes i can just feel the top of the fuel maybe an inch below the hole, the guage is now showing the lower part of red, is this correct?
ps- i shorted the wiring to earth on the sender unit and guage reads full!
