Just got off the phone with Gary, who is heading out now to a bar to enjoy a big beer in Boise.

Since I've got the laptop with me, I just booked him on a flight from Boise to St. Louis. He'll arrive here at 9 p.m. Friday, enjoy the MG2003 show with us Saturday, have a day to relax on Sunday, then head back to Boise on Monday afternoon. Where he'll pick up his car and head back to Vancouver.

Alida (the long-suffering Mrs. Lloyd) is still arriving as planned, earlier Friday night, and we hope they'll have a wonderful -- if somewhat weird -- time in St. Louis.

If this isn't fun, I don't know what is! Just sorry he couldn't get here earlier.

Now I've got to prevail on the hotel people here to let me hook my laptop into a printer so I can print out the itinerary and fax it to him. I emailed it to his wife, but I'd feel better if he had a piece of paper in his hand when he goes to the airport tomorrow to pick up his electronic ticket.

In the meantime, I've got Gary's Visa number. Anybody need any parts?
:)

Kim, tell Gary I'm proud of his determination and wish I could be there to greet him upon his arrival. As for the card---well he knows who he can trust! Do take care and ya'll have 10 MG Loads of FUN!!!!

I know that Gary made the smart choice. It's still tough to take, though. I haven't had this much fun living vicariously through someone since Lyle Lovett married Julia Roberts!

Thank Gary for the fun he gave us while it lasted. Have fun and PLEASE post lots of pics.

Man, you are good!
Send me that number and I will drop ship Moss in your yard! :)
Maybe if Gary is going home slow with stops along the way, Mrs. Lloyd will ride with him (ever the romantic!). You might suggest that to them for me.

"Gary's Big Adventure"
Oh great, now the 'Peewee's Big Adventure" music is going though my head...

Give him my best for the ol college try! I'll hoist one for him...

Just talked to Gary again (who had just got off the phone with Blake!). His engine is just about back together, I think he just had to get the radiator back in.

I gave him his confirmation number to pick up his tickets at the airport . . . I hope he doesn't cover it with grease or leave it in his engine compartment somewhere .... Other than that, he's good to go to get to St. Louis, and Chuck is giving him his truck to drive while he's here.

I hope we can get "our group" together to go greet him at the airport tonight for the warm welcome he deserves.

Wish I had the proper cables to connect the digital camera to the laptop so we can send photos instantly... Maybe I'll figure that out sometime before we leave.

Curse you, Iggy. I've successfully resisted thinking of "the big adventure" that way all day, then I read your post. I'd even resisted making a crack about riding a bike into St. Louis.
