Drove up to Fayetteville, Tn y'day to watch the Great Racers come into their pit stop...sky held off drenching us (just a few drops) until we headed home afterwards....I'll try to get my photos o web in a day or so....Packards, Fords, Buicks, Mercedes, Unique cars, 1-off's....................AND:
...most exciting moment for me was when the 1951 Creme w/red interior MGTD pulled into the paddock!! It was running in mid-pack; a beautiful car with full weather enclosures to include vinyl side curtains; & was running just like clockwork the day it came out of Abingdon....
...hang in there little MG!!

Thanks for the update Tony. Keep us posted on the TD's progress, or post a link.

One of our club members, Bobby Hadskey, is in 8th place overall and 3rd in the Expert class through Stage 10 in a Hudson Speedster. Hopefully, he can have a strong finish in the last three stages.
I put a few photos of the racers on our website <http://www.memphisbritishcars.org> (click on "Events", then scroll down to the previous events...) as well as a few of the cars the local car clubs had on display at the festivities welcoming the racers to Memphis (well......actually to Germantown - that's where the money is).

Where on the site, Joe?

Click on the "Events" link on the main menu - scroll to the bottom of that page under "Previous Events" - the June 2003 Event is the Great Race

I'm not getting a June 2003 event on the club web site. The last one shown is May 2003.

It's there...I promise!! :-)

You probably need to hit the "refresh" button - you're apparently looking at a cached version of the page on your hard drive. If you're using IE, go to "Tools" then "Internet Options", then under "Temporary Internet Files" click on "Settings". There you can set your browser to check for a new version of the page each time you visit the page.
