Some may remember back in the early winter last year, I was high bidder on a '71 MGB, on Ebay, that ended up having split bumpers. I think my bid was $460.00 U.S. or close to that. The car was only half hour away from me to boot. I went to look at it and the car was full of snow, water and totally open to the elements because of the tarp blowing off he said. Anyway, it wasn't even close to the way it was represented in the listing, so I told him I would not go through with the purchase. Ebay agreed with me and that was it.
Today, while killing time, I found it recently listed on an obscure site, for sale again.

It is a Solex carburetor, not a Webber, but there are a lot of spare parts with it. The split bumpers are in good condition too. I just didn't have time for a third project with the new '71 in storage and working on the GT. Some bits in the interior were not too bad either, but I don't know if he covered it up since then.
I am sure if someone went there with $300.00 or $350.00 cash and a tow truck, it would be yours.
I have a TR7 to worry about what to do with, so I am not interested, but I could pick it up for someone.
Paul

Then where would I sleep?
Seriously though.. I offered him $350.00 after the EBay mess and I would have had it out of his way in a day or two. It is now 9 months later and he still has it taking up space.
He did have a fairly good condition P1800 that was rusting away right beside the B, that he wanted to get rid of too.
