The big test of the rebuilt motor is this afternoon - a 4 hour trip to Northern Michigan! It is running great but I still have to fiddle with the carbs to get the idle the way I want it!

So, from an English-American to all you "Yanks" and "Southern Gentlemen", I wish you a happy holiday and ask the following question:

"How do you like taxation with representation?"

Better than without. Plus the food's better and we have dental plans. ;-)

Yeah, but what about the beer?

Oh yeah. We also got cold beer.

Eric: I like your style! I think that, by and large, the general public in this country resents taxation with or without representation. Like the British, we put up with it and then just import the beer! Where are you going in No. Michigan? I used to be stationed at Saulte Ste. Marie in the USAF. Wild place up there on the UP! We are going to Frankfort, on Lake Michigan. The in-laws have a "cabin" up there on Crystal Lake. My father in-law has a 1934 Ford pickup there and a 1936 Buick Century that he keeps in Florida. He uses both as daily drivers! We get along very well!

Al: I flew into Kinross every day and kept my C-208 in one of the abandon SAC hangers. Man it sure has changed since the Air Force left.

Mickey: I think, without a doubt, that was the coldest place I have ever been! I haven't been back there since 1970 or so, but would love to do it sometime. AL Bradley

My English-American friend in our club tells me,"American beer is like making love in a canoe......... F***ing close to water! hehe
Have a happy 4th. The UP is a great place this time of year. Used to go to giggling pebble ie: Gladstone in my youth
