Is the headlamp switch on a 70 repairable? I now have to wiggle mine to get the headlamps stay on! Does all the power for the lights go through that switch are does it activate a relay? If it's not one thing it's another! I think a new one from Moss is $24.

No relay (?), yes all the power goes through the switch, not repairable! Bite the bullet and get a new one - you will be glad you did!
John, hunt around for an original, NOS, Lucas switch. The new replacements are CCJ.
John,
I think I have one in my miscellaneous parts box. It definitely shows it's age (it's pretty faded) but it may work. It is an original. E-mail me if you want to give it a whirl.
Trent (just up the road in Malta)
Trent, thanks again! Nice to me you and your Fiance tonight. Good luck with the head on your GT. I will let you know how the switch works out.
Thanks Skye and mgbexperience!
Bought one on Ebay this winter, used...16 bucks. I hate waiting around for these things when their broken, which is often. I don't think they''re made to be fixed...Lucas and all.
You can clean/lube the llittle ball and spring, clean the contacts, and if the plastic bits aren't shot, they will work.
