I am struggling with the headlamps. Lamps are good, switch is good. Perhaps the wiring?? Any pictures of the wiring to the dimmer switch and light switch?

You can find a wiring diagram for your year car here:http://www.advanceautowire.com/
Do both high beams and low beams not work?
We don't even know what year your car is.
How do you know that the switch and lamps are good? Did you use a test light or meter to check for power to and from the dimmer switch?
I believe Jim has a 67B. Hi Jim, do your parking lamps work? Follow that wiring diagram blue/white, blue/red, and black.
usually one or more of those dirty little bullett connectors connecting the lights to the harness...grounds (black wires) are what I would check first.
possibly look to the switch and then get a relay set for the lights to take the "heat" off the switch.
Thanks everyone...
I apologies for the lack of information...67B with a new harness and new paint job.
I have tried new lamps and switches and still lamps do not work.
Parking lights work...directionals and back-up lights work.
I am checking all the grounds...tha car has been painted.

Have you fussed with the dimmer switch?? That has been a source of interesting stories for me in the past.
Edit: Like, step on the dimmer and the lights go out.

If the parking lights work - it means power is getting to the light switch. I would check if power is getting TO the dip switch, then trace it to the lights. My guess is that if neither high, or low, beams are working, power is either not getting to the dip switch, or the dip switch is at fault!
