MGB: Headlight and horn relays

I installed Limey's headlight and horn relay kit over the weekend. I did it mainly for safety, not liking the thought of the full headlight current running through that fragile dash switch, but was also very pleasantly surprised at how much louder my horn is, how much brighter my headlights are, and especially how much brighter my dash lights are. I can actually see my oil pressure after dark now!

A highly recommended kit and well worth the money just in peace of mind.

I have emailed (yesterday) Limey but I have not gotten any response as of yet. Is he on vacation?

I just e-mailed him about an hour ago. Got 3 separate e-mails from him.

I installed my second one today, I agree with all Jack said. For the price, a good buy. If I had a third car I'd buy another.
It took me about an hour but I work slow, had a phone call, and take time to clean all the other wire terminals I come in contact with. Also I remove the horn for access. It's only two bolts and makes all the connections within easy reach.

I just received my relay kit a few minutes ago. We must be keeping Eric very, very busy in his garage.

Got Limey's relay kit last week...won't be installing for a while until I get to sorting out the fuseblock.

Did you mount on the radiator stay or elsewhere? Pictures? :)

Marty,
I chose to modify mine and mount it underneath the front slam panel.

Scot - you have a PM!

Yeah, but I have the original! ;)

Perhaps it will be worth big $$$ one day?

I have 7 orders in the pipeline - so if you haven't received the "Shipped" notice - you will have to wait 'till next week - I'm off to The Glen!

I'm really happy with mine!

I put mine on the stay, only took about an hour to install, I think.
The instructions are very easy to follow.

I'd take a picutre, but my engine bay isn't anything special...

Think I'm going to have the hubby take the one out he designed and installed for mine so I can have one of Limey's kits too ;)
