I bought a new headlight toggle switch to replace my broken one. But I forgot how I took the bloody thing out (been 3 months)
Specifically the bezel with the lamp. Do I attach it from behind? Do I unplug the wires, put the switch in and then the bezel?

Also, how do I remove the heater switch on the dash? Bought a new bezel for that one as well.

Please help. :)

Here is the Fan Switch.

The lamp holder does attach from the back. First thing is to put the switch into the hole in the dash, then push the holder onto the switch from behind. It will snap into place with the little locking tabs along the sides. Then you can hook up all the wires.

Removal of the heater fan switch is basically the reverse of the above, except that getting the little locking tabs to let go can be tough to do. Basically, you've got to pull them away from the sides of the switch - then, push the switch out through the front of the dash.

It helps if you have teeny, tiny little hands.

Lucas are available - try BritTek, the B Hive (USA), or the Roadster Factory. Or maybe Chris Roop has them....?

Aftermarket, non-Lucas switches are most common.

The chrome was tarnished on my heater fan switch, and it required quite a push to get it out, even with my dash out. The Moss (imported from ?) replacement switch wouldn't fit until I trimmed away some vinyl, and filed some metal. Just to warn you, some switches require hand fitting.

I found it easier if you put the holder behind the dash and run the wires through it out the whole for the switch and attach them to the switch. Put the switch into the dash and snap the holder onto the back of it. Saves you from trying to attach the wires when you can't see anything.
