MGB: Heated Rear Glass

On our '74 GT with the heated rear glass, some of the lines don't heat up all the way across. What is the best way to test and repair these grid lines?

There's a special paint you can buy, Don, that is used to "re-connect" broken HRW lines. I used to use it a lot on my Honda Civic. The next time you have a foggy window, activate the heater and mark off which elements don't work. With a good light, closely examine the element and you'll probably find a tiny break in it. Apply a small amount of the paint to reconnect the element and it should work.

You're lucky with the '74 HRW; my '69's HRW element is imbedded between the two panes of glass and virtually invisible except for the metal strip across the back.

The things I would do for a heater rear window...
