Just wanted to say I removed the cable from the mechinisms and soaked them in a solvent/lubricant. Prior to reasembly lubed them with a small gear, non dirt attracting lube. removed the wires from the casing,s greased and replaced and they work as good as new! I had two broken control knobs from "sticky" mechanisms prior to this.
