Well gang, it has been a while since I have been able to even think about the 73 GT I am restoring in my garage.
Some of you may remember that I had to thin out my MGB herd a while back to buy a car I could go back and forth from NC to NY frequently as my mother was very ill. She had a very tough battle with COPD that she lost back in August.
Three weeks after she died, I found out I had breast cancer. A lot of research and one surgery later, I an cancer free. It did not spread to my lymph nodes nor any other organs. I count my blessings everyday.
I had no risk factors for breast cancer and I am only 46. A mamogram saved my life. Please urge your loved ones to continue to do self exams as well as regular mamograms. My mamogram saved my life.
In any case, I do have a couple of more surgeries to got through and then I plan on picking backup with with my GT cosmetic restore.
The GT has been painted and is sitting in my garage. I still need to put all the outside parts back on, put sound proofing material throughout the inside, put the carpet/padding in and make new interior panels.
Well thanks for listening to me rant.

Welcome back Carolyn. Best of luck with your fight against cancer and your continued recovery. As time permits, post a few pictures of your GT restoration. Jay
Sounds like a rough year. I am glad you arrested the problem early and for now anyway free of the meany. Do post to your progress and any problems you have. While maybe not a great C support group we'd all be happy to help as we may with the MGB.
Welcome back Carolyn and I'm very happy to see you posting again :)
Hi Carolyn,
It was nice to meet you yesterday. Good luck with your continuing recovery and with the restoration of the 73 GT. I'm just down the road a couple of miles so if you ever need to feel better about progress on your restoration you can drop by to see the mess my 73 GT is in (sill removal at the moment :( )
Welcome back to the MG-E!
Tim
Welcome back! Sorry to hear about your rough year! Hang in there.
Welcome back Carolyn!
My wife, Saffyres on this board, went through the same thing a few years ago, she was 38, she went full bilateral then followed up with all the necessary reconstruction over the next three years. Hers was also picked up by a routine mammogram.
MGs are great therapy! Although you'll probably have to take it easy for a while after your next couple of surgeries.
Sorry to hear about all those trials, but praise God they found that cancer early!
The MG will be there when you are up to it.
