I did a search and tried all the methods mentioned to get these spawns of satan out and nothing is working.
I'm to the point where I just want to cut them out. Before I get happy with my sawzall... I want to cut in two places and have a question. Basically where you see the bushings mushroom out is where I want to cut. Before I cut is there anything in there I need to know about before cutting? I don't want to ruin the spindle and associate parts.
If i'm not mistaken it's just the bolt, with a metal sleeve and the rubber there.
Safe to cut?

upper trunion is ok to cut if we are talking about the bolt that ataches to the shock there is enoght space ther that cutting is easy and can be done wit a cutting wheel on a grinder on the lower one ther is not much room and if your not carefull yo will cut the bottom of the swivel
You must be talking about the upper shock link as there are no bushings to mushroom on the bottom trunnion (?)
A picture here would be very helpful.
If thats the case, have you removed the shock arm pinch bolt before hammering on the bolt. Back it up w/a heavy
sledge and put the nut back on to protect the threads. One more thing...very important...I hope you have supported the spring pan properly before attemting to remove either trunnion bolt !!!!!!!

For the time being, i'm refering to the upper trunion pin. I did back off the pinch bolt on the shocks, but that didn't do a thing. I'm going to go ahead and cut the bolt. I do have the spring pan supported. I don't want to lose an eye or worse over this! haha
Thanks for the advice guys. I'm sure i'll be back with more questions when I attack the lower fulcrum bolt....
