Keep at it. I was 18 when I got my first B. It will teach you so much and have lasting memories! Keep us updated.
well the interior is completely brand new, besides seat covers. but as my friend says, when you drive it you dont see the paint anyways right? haha.
Great car! Looks like you've already done some huge projects on it. Congrats on getting it running. Most guys your age wouldn't dream of taking on something like that. Keep up the good work.
Looks like one of our first projects.

Amazing. Takes me back 30 years. Still going on! Same car.
Those wheels look great. Don't go getting any curb rash. Post more pics after your paint.

Hi David thats awesome you took on this project dude. And dont worry - theres members with MGBs here younger than you - even a 13 yr old with two! One question - how did you get so many pics in 1 post?
Looking forward to seeing your progress >:D<

photobucket. when you upload a pic, theres an "image code" copy and paste that, and vouila. pictures.
MGs would go on forever with such youthful dedication. It really use to be just like that somewhere on every block 35 years ago. And your girl friend would come round in her Midget or Spitfire with a flower sticker on it. At least that is how I remember my youth.
I've only had mine for 40 years, but I'm still finding things to do to it. If I didn't, I'd start to worry. RAY
Many life lessons in Zen and the art of MG maintenance -- and then there's British Car Repair Yoga. Congrats on the project, David. Keep us posted and maybe get in touch with a local club. There are probably guys with spare parts they'll give you!
David
David -- my first MGB was also a daily driver, and I got it when I was about your age. But mine was in middletown, CT so it was a bit colder than in CA.
Welcome aboard.
Welcome, David. Your avatar says it all, Here's a guy that's ready to take on the challenge.
There are several great MGE members out your way that you should hook up with. With your attitude, you'll be welcome.
Welcome aboard David!:)-D We can help you with your addiction...

Hey David, I'm also in Napa. Let me know if you need anything - help, tools, parts, whatever. I am always happy to lend a hand.
You should be very proud of you accomplishments.
Looking forward to seeing each "well that's done, on to the next".
My first car was an Opel Manta. 14 Year's old. Pulled out of a junkyard.
Little money. But when I was 16, I had a car.

Maybe we could meet up and trade mg stories and see what eachother has?
Great project! One that can last a lifetime. I've owned by B for 40 years now and I don't think there is a part I haven't worked on. Well, most of them anyway. As I tell my friends "Own an MG and walk with pride". Welcome aboard.
Your car might be now the most admired car on this site. What a great story that car is already. That car has so much character and pride as it is pictured.
And.....it has an enthusiastic, energetic owner that is committed to it.
Great car! Keep the photos coming as you restore.
Cool! That was a nice period paint job on the back; you going to redo it?

Love the car. Looks just like mine when I bought it almost 25 years ago. Did a rolling restoration and it was my daily driver for 10 years.
You have more than a car. You have a rolling education, a hot girlfriend with one too many tattoos and nasty attitude, and something to drop your disposable income on instead of video games and apps...
...and that is a thing of beauty.
Welcome to our shared insanity :)
One of us! One of us! One of us!
Each to his own. I've always done stock but you got me thinking.

Whoa Nelly! Attitude adjustment time???
You had to think she was a hot girlfriend (I think he was talking about your car though I am not.) at one time or she wouldn't be 6 months pregnant at present now would she?
16... fiance... pregnant... MG project... so, uh, what do you do in your spare time?

haha, anyways, no im 18, work 2 part time jobs, both of which i like so its not really working, one is whanging tires at americas tire co, and the other is for my uncle restoring mgs!! so basically i get paid to do the things i do anyways. and working for my uncle includes my car so thats my free time, and sundays are my off day. everything is working out. dont worry buddy, im no where near any other teen dad out there
well i just took pics of an A so i took some of mine, here we go!!

and thanks to armor all, the panel kit looks brand new, even though its stock from a 68 that have been very well kept!
The front end is rescued from my wrecked '74! Good work David. Incidentally I have a better spare on a wire wheel than that one you pictured. Come get it if you want it.
Fantastic. Has the same sort of personality my 1961 Healey 3000 had in 1969. 16 y.o. then and learned a lot. Keep at it and have fun!
Welcome David! You've got a great project going on there! Good Luck!
Hey Guys....doesn't this remind you of another guy (can't think of his name) that had a pregnant girlfriend and had some super modified-body MGB? I think he lived in Arizona and put like 2000 posts on this site in a couple of months about a year ago....then disappeared.
