A fellow over in Germany put one of the Australian Hi-Flow superchargers on his Magnette.

Yeah I've heard about Brian's project. I'd do it to a B but not a Magnette. It would be like having a 42' Grand Banks that would do 60 knots. Why would you want to? You not in to go fast, you're in it to enjoy the ride.
But, but, I like the idea of a supercharged B. Decisions, decisions. A V6 or supercharge?
v6, it's cheaper, and if you want to go really fast add nitrious. I saw it at St Louis
How much is a 30' Grand Banks worth down there?? Very curious!!
Yah, but they sound like crap!! If you are gonna do it, do a V8!! AND, go with Tony's suspension from this morning!! It will balance it out!! I would recommend a BOSS 302!!!!
v6 for the red car Gary, momma said it wouldn't be bad if it had a chevy engine (after she heard about yours)
The smallest is the 32. An old one in good shape no less than $60k.
Mine will be fine!! For the effort, do a BOSS 302!!! WAAAAY KOOOOL!!!!!!!
WOW!!! That would be about $80K cdn!! They are cheaper here!! No Panama Canal for me!! :o)
Now that I'd like to see. Driving a 32' Grand Banks down the West coast around the Horn and up to Charleston. Shouldn't take make more than a year or so.
Hell!! If it was a good deal I was gonna bring it the other way!! :o) Never really thought about it!!
Actually, i am going to go to Alaska on the water!! Get ready!!
Joe, it would be an adventure since he would be sailing west, the long way, if he was going around the Horn. Still, the Cape ain't no place to be, anytime.
Gary....study the waters around Alaska carefully....contact the old guys up around Homer or Ketchikan to get their opinions....those waters, just like the Arctic itself are dangerous!
Oh, about the modified Magnette: I say, "Go for it!"...each one that's modified makes mine & Wray's that much more valuable...remember, there's only about 1200 of them still running around (only about 100 or so of the Farina) the world!
The head should be done on the Bama engine tomorrow. I'll start tearing into the block this week. Glad I pulled the head off. Steling Moss's pit boss never touched this engine. Put in one (and only one) hardened exhaust valve seat? Whuzzup with that?
See, we both wondered about the guy's verocity...JDW & I wondered about him in his driveway when he went back inside & left us to pload everything by ourselves!

One of the nicest boats bar none. I'd like to have a 42' or, even a 36' aft cabin. The workmanship is superior with great attention to detail. 25 years ago a new 36' aft cabin went for about $120K. The wiring is impeccable, quite unlike anything built in the States.
