I got my float kit from Moss yesterday, and am planning to reassemble my clean carbs today.

I have two gaskets in the set that were not originally there when I removed the old ones. Is the squarish manifold gasket used on the hif4? A manifold gasket that is that sort of "S" shape is also in the kit & it's actually shaped like the carb-to-manifold opening. Wondering if the kit includes extra gaskets?

What about the bottom gasket in the image? [Image is just to show shape... pulled from the Web. The gaskets in the kit are better quality]

Maybe another reason yet to order your carb parts for Joe Curto, you get good stuff designed for your carbs. The top gasket is the ones that goes on each side of the spacers and heat shield, you should have 6 of those, the bottom gasket goes on the front side of the carb between the carb front and the fitler base, it appears you've got uni-gaskets, meaning they are made to fit several types of carbs, kinda a one-size-fits-all type deal. The one Curto supplies are the good black paper type made for your car type, no universal gaskets.

I should note that the gaskets in the pic are not the ones I actually have... just pulled the shapes from googling. The kit gaskets are better material.

You answered my question. I guess I was asking if these are Unigaskets.

Thanks

Joe Curto has supplied me with gaskets like the top one for my HIFs and HS4s. They also come in genuine SU kits as well. I have received in the SU kit gasket pack the bottom one but there has also been the correct one (non uni-gasket) as well.

Yeah. I got the correct one as well as the nigasket. OK. I think I'm set.

Make sure your holes line up correctly when mounting.
