Our club (Charleston British Car Club) was invited to participate in the Car Club Jamboree event at this year's Hilton Head Island Concours d'Elegance. We had 15 or so cars that made the trip down yesterday to compete in a field of over 200 from the 20 clubs - all kinds of cars from Jaguars to Porsches to Ferraris to Cadillacs - from the region that had been invited. It was an awesome event, and at the end of the day, several of our folks were awarded "Crescent" awards as being among the top cars in the field and our club got the "best club" award. One of our honorees was none other than Wray Lemke, a regular contributor to this board as well as the Magnette and MGA boards. Wray had his stellar '73 B at the show, looking immaculate and very deserving of the award! Pictured below is Wray's car in line to receive it's plaque.
