Just pulled in from St Looie. what a great time!!!!!! meeting Kim, Phil, Cole, JDW, Tim Baxter, David Terhune, David Kehiana, Jon Stepro, Tom Warren, Ken Lessing (get rid of that purple hat, it ain't blue) and of course what can I say about Gary Lloyd, except where did you take my truck to get all that dirt on it? Great Spouses, Alida, Lisa, my wife Laura, and of course the man with the beer, Charles de B. You gotta get him his own car, Kim. Ol Rusty ran flawlessly and Laura is still speaking to me after the RT 66 rally. Congratulations to Kim and Tom on their big wins, it was a great show by the lake. Wish I could make NJ next year, but won't, so look for me in Seattle in 2005 and either Minneapolis or Indy in 2006. Tony, sorry to hear about your mother-in-law and we really missed you in St Louie

Just wait until we get home and upload our photos! (I wish we had the technology here, but we forgot the proper cables.)
We just landed in Indianapolis, first stop on our way home. Had a fun drive over from St. Louis on the back farm roads. (Description: Straight roads, corn fields, farms, zig-zag through small town. Straight roads, corn fields, farm, zig-zag through small town. Repeat for about 300 miles.)
A bad day for the group we were traveling with, though. First one B blew out a tire on the interstate. That got changed in about 5 minutes flat, and we were back on the road.
Then another B stalled out. Diagnosed a bad distributor cap and replaced the cap in about 5 minutes flat. Impressive!
Then another B started losing its exhaust. Had that wired up in another five minutes or so.
Then, believe it or not, the first B blew ANOTHER tire. Unbelievable. Or he just bought some really bad tires! Fortunately, it was a Rostyle wheel, and there were plenty of other spares. (If I lose more than one tire on this trip, I'm out of luck, because I'm the only B with wires...)
Just before we got to Indy, another B started losing his overdrive. Stopped to add two quarts of oil to it, but by the time we got to the hotel, he'd lost the oil again.
Lots of fun! Guess I got my woes over with on the way out. (I hope!)
Hey Guys and Gals.
We just rolled in from St. Louis, my B travel 776 miles from Thursday - Sunday not one problem. Car was doing about 70 on I-55 with an engine that has over 110,000 miles on it. I was impressed with how well it did.
All those miles were top down, can you say SUNBURN !!!!
After last night , we sleep in this morning, didn't get up until 9:00 am. Went to Grant's Farm and left for Memphis around 2:00
Since we have the old fashion kind of camera it will be a few days before i can post any pictures.
Hope everyone else out on the road makes it back safe.
Carl, we often go to N.J. and was just there a couple of weeks ago. God willing I will be at MG 2004!!!!
I was planning on getting up at 6:00 this morning but after staying up late for two nights in a row I rolled over cut the alarm off and went back to sleep and slept till 7:30. Looked out the window and Kim and her crew were already gone. To make a long story short I left at 9:10 AM and arrived home at 5:35 PM. 521 miles on the return trip. Had a great time meeting a lot of you guys and gals and was totally floored when they called my name for third place in class. Needless to say I rushed down to pick up the award before they changed their mind. :o) Now if this old man had about a week to recouperate he would be ready to try that again.
You need to travel with a better hive. Not that I know of one. We have issues within 50 miles.
