I need to replace the hose.Took the starter out, removed the fitting from the line that connects to the hose, but now I can not get working space for a wrench 15/16.What is the tool for this job?

you may have to get what is called a "crowsfoot". also, another thaing that may work is maybe a basin wrench.. that way you could come up from under it, while the wrench portion is at a 90 degree angle.. if you would to have some sort of pix of these, let me know, and i can email or post a link for you on what they look like..

I didn't need any special wrench, just a thorough vocabulary of cuss words...it's just one of those things that is nearly impossible to get a wrench and/or fingers on whilst laying on your back with crud falling on your face. Just be very patient when installing the new hose as you don't want to cross-thread the fitting. I also used a bit of anti-sieze to make it easier to start.

On my 79B, I was able to replace the clutch hose
using a small crescent (adjustable) wrench on the
nuts. Didn't have to remove the starter -- not sure
about your year of car however, and if other things
are in the way.
