Yesterday, I had the opportunity to remove red spray paint from the door of my old Audi.
I found that mineral spirits were useless, but acetone made quick work of it.
Keeping your car waxed regularly will aid in preventing permanent damage to the paint from bird droppings as well as random acts of juvenile vandalism.

Used it on mine before, didn't hurt the paint on the car and took all the spray paint off.

I had some spray paint on my new car one week after purchase. (worked at a jr high-gotta love the little buggers) the local body shop recommended some enamel reducer. It did not harm the paint or clear coat. Wax immediatly after. It took the paint right off as if the paint were just chalk. No effort. Of course the paint had only been on for about 3 hours, but enamel reducer will take off spray paint.
