Picked up the LH Overdrive I purchased on Ebay today. Sweet!!!! It is from a 78 or 79 (I will be installing in a 77) Has all wiring harnesses and has the shifter and switch in the shifter knob. All this for $495.00 I am looking forward to driving this as soon as I go through it and do the obvious checks and o-ring changes.
Lady luck is smiling on me today! and it isin't even Christmas yet.

Welcome to the Overdrive World. Once you have experienced overdrive you will never go back to driving a 4 speed car.
There is only one word that can describe the feeling of driving an OD equiped MGB................Sweeeet.
It will be tempting to wear the switch out shifting in and out of o/d! :)
I believe very late American overdrives had 3rd overdrive blocked out like the V8's. The lever selector that the overdrive switch rides on. You can unblock it easily and cheaply enough with the gearbox out. I don't know the details, but someone here will if you post a "how do I..."
