All the 'honey-dos' and pet projects caught up. Retirement has been comfortable and unstressed. I'm NOT ready to roll over and set in the rocker. Was notified today that I'm an official "bugcatcher" for Calif Dept. of Food and Agriculture. We are apparently at risk from the European Grapevine Moth. Somebody has to go out and set traps then monitor the traps. So here I am, ready to tramp through the vineyards and get up close and personal with the Napa Valley. Old bloke, indeed!:hot:

I need to find a job like that.

Do you get to sample the processed product to ensure your doing the job right?????. It should be part of your "quality control" system.

Sounds Like a great Job, Keep us posted on the number of bugs you find. A Friend of mine retried, five years ago, and now counts birds In the national parks around here. Well at least your target is stuck on a trap.

Awwww - I want to retire too! That sounds like a LOT more fun than sitting in an office 9+ hours a day :(

Enjoy it - sounds absolutely fabulous!

That looks like the kind of job you can enjoy.

Hauling gears & stuff for the machine shop has really backed off since companies started hanging on tight because of the economy. Building manufacturing equipment has darn near stopped.
