Finally getting to the stage where I'm happy with this car, but.......

Just noticed that if the headlights are on main beam, instead of the blue light on the dash coming on, the right hand indicator light illuminates. The indicators themselves are not on. However, if you then press the right indicator, nothing happens. The left still works normally.

At all other times the indicators work correctly, lights on or off. Also, the flasher function on the stalk doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Also, does a standard fan blade work better than the aftermarket electric fans as my car sits at just above the halfway mark when stuck in traffic and the fan stays on until you start moving again.

Stock fans seem to be doing just what they are supposed to. You might try putting in a lower temp thermostat for this time of year as that will get the coolant flowing sooner. (if you haven't done that already)

When I got my MGB,had no instrument lights working and when you flashed the headlights, the oil/temp panel light came on!
Turns out most of the lamps were either not fitted to the holes in the back of the instruments and/or had blown bulbs.
If you lay on your back in the foot well and use a torch (head type best) you can see all what is going on.
