Got my intake back from the machinist, looks good. He removed .750" from the lower part of the center plenum portion, then he bead blasted the lower intake and powdercoated it clear.
Slowly gathering parts / pieces to get this swap underway...

if you shorten your trumpets a bit more than you need to I believe it goes a bit better. No hard data on this other than it just seems to have a bit more zing. Might be my imagination, however I do notice that RPI sell shorter trumpets and a bit more clearance between the plenum cover and the trumpets would have to help air flow a little. Mine are maybe 8mm shorter than they need be because I took advantage of some additional bonnet clearance (squeezed the motor down a bit) and had another trumpet tray machined, leaving he top lip taller.
This reducing by 3/4" is to get this fuel injection manifold under the factory hood?
