Happy Fourth, everybody! I noticed something weird on my 78 RB B. The car had been sitting out in the sun for a couple of weeks and I noticed that the front bumper was up against the leading edge of the hood so tight the hood couldn't be closed. In the garage overnight, the gap is now about 1/2 inch. Apparently the rubber bumper expands and contracts, with the heat. Anyone else noticed this?

I've seen them curl up so that they are lopsided from the sun. The problem is because of the material and the color. I used to see the same thing on my drop-in bedliner for my Ford p/u. It would buckle up sometimes 3/4" when it stayed in the hot sun for a few hours. My solution for it was the screw it down better to the top of the bed. Of course, that won't work for MGB bumpers, though

I have CB. But, when its hot and the car has been sitting in the sun my tach will display 2X the RPMs idle at 2500 when it really is 1250.
