I'm shutting off my Comcast DSL connection for 4 months. My e-mail is: tomlgreene@msn.com. I understand what is on my desktop will remain. The question is: will my current e-mail address rollover when I reconnect with Comcast or some other ISP? This might be the first of several questions, so bear with me.

If the 'email address' you're asking about whether it would roll over or not is the msn address you just mentioned, then it is not tied to your comcast provider contract, so yes... However, some of those free accounts (I'm assuming your MSN is not a pay acct) automatically cancel after a period of inactivity - I'm not sure what that period is, so you should ask MSN.
If you're referring to your comcast.net email address, it will DEFINITELY not follow you to a new provider. In fact, you'd likely loose any email in that inbox during your 4 month 'time off' even if you reconnected with comcast later!
Hope this helps.
Tom:
You may want to review the comcast email service and determine if you can forward your account while you are off-line. If you are dropping the service all together you will not be able to do this but if you are going to continue to pay for the service until you reestablish than it may be an option.
BTW I used to live in Lebanon in the late 80' early 90's, the whole area has just exploded over the past 3-5 years.
Contact Comcats - their is a Vacation option on the email system that will allowq the email address to remain live and active until you decide what you are doing. Costs, I think, is $10pm
BTW I work in Comcast Video section, but know a little about the email side
