Yes it was fun.SEMA has much to offer for the hobby and more. Yes Stacey was very interested on the V6 MGB conversions and asked me to send him an e-mail to his personal box. Very interested. Will see what happens, talk is talk. At met him at the members lounge and had lunch with him and wife also some other tv people.
My main goal was to look at the new products and attend the tech sessions.
After I met with Rick (Mantell employees) on Wed,they were converted to members of CCE officially, (Members only) I had to let them go on Friday, will have openings available LOL :)We had a great time at Ugly Coyotes, :beer:then the rest of the week we went our own ways. The group that we go with to SEMA could not make it this year, so I had extra tags for the Mantell group.
Fords party on Tuesday night, not as big as last years party, but fun. Got to talk to some of the engineers about the all new 3,5 V6 turbo. Talk to GM folks about their new crate engines. New with old. GM now offers a 427 ci LS engine with a Carb, imagine that.
What was really interesting is the new tech stuff. Electric cars, Factory five had one of their customers 33 roaster with an electric motor. an electric solstice, very quick and the so talked about the Lap Top motorcycle, really great to see this first hand. Electric is here, this is the new high tech stuff. There were many other electric vehicles.
Due to the economy ( I think) the SEMA show was allot smaller this year and very few new products. The empty spaces inside N. hall were fill with show cars, all of the other halls were also smaller. But the best is Hot Rod Alley. I get the urge to back to my days of Hot Rodding.
