Ok, newbie question #3! My 73 requires leaded gas. I have a can of lead substitute to add to the fuel, but I have no idea how much to put in per gallon.
The can says it's for "off road" or marine use only. I don't plan to be off road in it, at least I hope not- and with the rust holes in it I am pretty sure it won't float!
Thanks in advance for your reply.

I can't speak for everyone, but I'm pretty sure most of us just run regular unleaded in our midgets. In the library here on this site, there's at least one article discussing it. I don't remember it verbatim but I think the idea is that using unleaded will make your head wear out more quickly, and when it does, you can put a new one on that is more suitable to running unleaded. I'm pretty sure my car has already been converted but if not, when it wears out it will be.

I poked around, here's the article: http://www.mgcars.org.uk/cgi-bin/gen5?runprog=mgoc&p=emg/mgocu.htm

Good luck!

The Lead substitute or lead adsditive should say how much to add on the bottle, never saw one that did not.
