love the wisdom of this one

I'm not sure about the truth of this, but I love it anyway!

An ingenious example of speech and politics occurred recently at the U.N. and made the world community smile. A representative from Israel began-
"Before beginning my talk I want to tell you something about Moses. When
he struck the rock and it brought forth water, he thought, 'What a good opportunity to have a bath!' He removed his clothes, put them aside on the rock and entered the water.

When he got out and wanted to dress, his clothes had vanished. A Palestinian had stolen them."

The Palestinian representative jumped up furiously and shouted, "What are you
talking about? The Palestinians weren't there then."

The Israeli representative smiled and said "And now that I have made that clear,
I will begin my speech."

l like that one, very funny, though the Palastinian reply would be: "Yeah, but you guys left and we moved in; now you want it back?"
More seriously,as I understand it,what is now Israel was occupied by other racial groups long BEFORE the Jews arrived, so they weren't there first either.They fought, won (cause "they had God on their side") and displaced the previous occupiers. (Others will have more knowledge and may want to contribute).But surely this has been the history of human (and animal) occupation of this planet from the begining.Unfortunately nothing in current affairs makes me think that anything will ever change.

I support Israel 100%, and then some. I am not Jewish.

I should say that I do know that it is complex, and I dont pretend to understand the complexities, but I do know if Israel want to gain respect, it wont come from being nice.

hardly ever noticed is the partner ship Isreal has with american universities to teach student in isreal in medicine, computers, space technology and guess what, arabs, palistianians, and others are in those classes in Televiv and other schools.

The american Jewish Committee hs it all on thier site....if they can meet through education and also in Texas at flight training and officer traing schools we run they can do anything.....factions that are not in power usually want to fight for the fight's sake. because if they are not in a fight they have to go to work for a l iving.....

Isreal has some of the best University's in the world!

Actually Isreal has balls and even offered to remove Sodd'im INsane the first time round but the US said No. The average Ireasli want sto live in peace bUT will strike back but then gets condemmed by the rest of the world. IF they try peace the world calls them whimps and if they retaliate they are then called warmongers and worse. Give them a break.

That's the problem, they are worried about being condemed by the rest of the world....guess what...that already happened! sorry...no break.

Once they stop asking the US to when to piss, then they will get respect.

When you really think about it. Most people, especially people that have families and children just want to live in peace. No one wants to ever see their children killed. No One!

But, there is a small percentage in every population and in every country that have a few screws turned a bit too tight. They're usually the ones that cause all the problems. Then, the governments get involved and bam, retaliation and it never ends.
