Went to see the progress on the 79 B at the shop. Under hood wiring is cleaned up and back to completely stock, looks great. The radiator is all fixed and back to original specs, and painted up. Engine sounds great, you could tell the B was impatient to get back on the road again. The under the hood area now looks so good, I wouldn't be ashamed to pop the hood at a show and let people take a look. A Crane Cam is on order to get the engine squared away for daily driving. While I was there, I checked out the nice white rust free MGT they were working on, putting on some brakes and other structural repairs.
Wray, I'm not all to familiar with Magnettes, but it looks like there are two rather ruff looking ones in their storage area. They also have this Magnette on consignment.

Thanks, Bob. The Magnettes they had were the ZB type, kinda rounded. The Farina Magnette is a butt-ugly box unworthy of the Magnette name. Only certain purists and collectors would want such a wart.
Glenn had the Magnettes listed a while back, but if they are in rough shape then they don't have much to offer.
Thanks for checking.
Hey! I resemblt that remark! When I do finally find one of the little ugly ducklings & add it to 'theAutoist Museum', I'll love it like all my others.....but, Wray, you've got one thing right: that sucker's too ugly to bring $6500!
Half the new cars on the road I think are ugly, So to some one I'm sure that is a nice car I think its really ugly but thats me.
That's not just you. Everyone thinks they're ugly. Problem is, they're not ugly in an endearing way. I shouldn't beat on them so much. Maybe they're fun to drive like their older siblings. I'm sure they must have some positive attributes. it just ain't the way they look.
Bob J... if you got a digital camera, when you get your 'B back, I'd very much enjoy a thorough image-documentary of how everythings put together! I got many DPO puzzles to solve :)
what color is yours?
