I am rebuilding my brake master cylinder and i am having trouble identifying a piece. Does anybody know if this piece replaces the rubber seal on the end of the spring or is there supposed to be another rubber seal in the kit. my kit only came with three rubber pieces and i dont know if that is right.
thanks
Allan

I believe this is an internal part that separates one chamber from the other. You must be sure that to old one is out (manual says to shake it out, but that doesn't work. You have to find a way to break it up into little pieces (without scratching the bores) then shake those bits out.
ive got a single circuit system my car is a 62 so i dont know how it got in my kit
I just rebuilt my MC and that piece was in the kit...but no where to be found on the internals. I just left it out since it did not have one to begin with.
But I do remember breaking up that flat nylon spacer washer into about 10 pieces to get inside!
Flat srcew driver tapped with a hammer and it will come out one piece at a time.
did your kit include the rubber for the very end closest to the banjo fitting?
