:) - That's usually the case....but most often out int he parking lot!
Worth every nickle - guaranteed! These open the hood much wider than the stock click-rod, they mount lower and you just have tremendously more work space under the bonnet. Easy to install if you know how to operate a drill and a screwdriver.
Probably been answered before, but do these require drilling? I assume the answer is yes. And this kit has 2 for the bonnet and bootlid?

There are three separate kits...one for the bonnet, one for the bootlid, one for the GT hatch. For bonnet and bootlid, you would need one of each kit.
Each kit includes two (2) struts, moutning hardware, and instructions.
Drilling is required on all kits. Not a major surgical procedure.
Just curious, but why do you say steel hood and not also aluminum? Do the struts bend the aluminum hoods?
I ask because I just picked up an aluminum hood and was wanting to upgrade soon.
The pressure exerted by the struts against the aluminum lead to the risk of bending the bonnet upon attempting to close it. This holds true with the struts (different manufacturer) available from other sources as well.
This is a "Caveat Emptor" type of thing. I know that a couple of my customers have used the struts with aluminum bonnets with no damage......yet.
Not a problem with the bootlid nor GT hatch kits.
Last call...I'm leaving for Valley Forge tomorrow.
Dan...I have your bonnet kit packed.
I also got a message from a lister wanting a set of GT hatch struts; I cannot find/remember who it was....but they are packed as well.
Not bringing an MG this year...I'll have my black 1996 Nissan 300ZX...look me up and I'll take care of you.
Cool, Brooks! We can keep an eye on Paul's detailing kit! :)
