I was going through my reference books and found a book that I had forgotten about. It is " The T Type Restoration Handbook " Published by: The New England MG T Register, (1993). Edited by: Richard L. Knudson. I did on online search and the only one I found had a price of $104.34.
Is this what this book is selling for or is this way out of line?

I think thats way out of line. $40 or so would be about right.

The T Series Handbook, formerly The T Series Handbook and Restoration Manual, is still available on Brit Books for $50.

It is also available from the NEMGTR for $45 plus $3 S&H. This is the 3rd Ed which is the most current. Be careful as there are older editions being sold for more $.

"Be careful as there are older editions being sold for more $. "

And as near as I have been able to see, they are all the same. That said, it is a worthwhile book to have if you are a T series owner.

It is a very good resource and well worth the $50. Glad I got mine 25 years ago....

Thanks for the Information. The copy I have is as new, and never used at all. ( I am actually restoring a TR6). I was thinking of listing it for sale and did not want to overcharge. I knew you MG folks would be more familiar with the book than I.

That's a fact Robert, I think that I paid less than $20 when I purchased it back in the mid 70s.

Dave, How much information is there for the 54/55 TF series?

A whole lot! Such as production numbers, factory modifications by car number and date, original colors, long with other points of originality. Additionally there is historical data and a lot of technical tips for the T series cars in general. It is generally viewed as a 'must have' book for any T series owner. If you haven't already found it, visit the web site The Original MGTF Midget at http://www.mgcars.org.uk/mgtf/.

Finally, I would highly recommend that you visit the MG Cars Enthusiasts' Club Bulletin Board. You will not find a larger gathering of really knowledgeable T series people anywhere on the web. Go to: http://www.mgcars.org.uk/index.html Click on Members Only and register as a member (no cost). Go back to the main menu, click on Bulletin Boards, then on T series TD-TF. You will find a wealth of knowledge there.
