Some of this stuff is totally new to me, so can anyone tell me in a nutshell what's the primary type of tools used on an MGB? Are we looking at Metric, American sizes or what, and what's with this Whitworth business? I'm primarly used to regular american sizes with an occasional metric situation when working on my American/Mexican/Canadian family car. Also any suggestions on what to have for tools in the "boot" I lucked out and had a 9/16 and a 1/2 on board when I brought my 71 B home and blew a fanbelt. PO had the foresight to have a spare belt in the trunk, "er boot". Any help would be appreciated.

You can go American sizes all the way except for the cap on the oil pressure relief sping, it's Whitworth or six point "near size" or Cresent wrench. You should have Posi-drive screwdrivers or bits for the screws.
Does anyone have a line on #4 Posi bits?
have you tried SEARS, MATCO, NAPA..? even SNAP ON..?
just some ideas..
I have one spotted, but really don't need it too bad right now. The store has to make a big order from the outfit to get anything, I'll probably get it then. I put that question up as much for everybody else as for myself.
I found Snap-On and Napa are the best places to get Posidrive. I went through that crap of waiting for an order to be placed with one outfit for 4 months before I gave up. Snap-On could get me any size posidrive I wanted within a couple of day, but you pay a lot for their tools, but you'll never need to replace them either. Napa was able to get posidrive bits only, and again within a couple of days.
Thanks guys, I know the Snap-on guy and run across him on our sales runs every now and then.
