So far, I've done the following:

New fluids
Recored radiator, thermostat
New Hoses/clamps
wipers/wiper arms.
Converted to spin on oil filter
Correct rear bumpers/grill - Thanks Rob!
Plugs, wires, etc.
Tuned SU's
New Exhaust (Peco) and studs on manifold
Slowly, painting, cleaning engine bay.
Started interior

I don't have my own site to host photos, so here are a few on a Land Rover site I participate in, the photos are about 20 post down.

John, I occassionally, visit that board too.
But not as much as I hang around here (like several times daily)

What is the colour of your Disco?
I also have a black Disco.

It's oxford blue. Check out my profile on Dweb. I hang out a bit on both sites. I hope my boss never checks me out all the time I spend on the web! Lately, I'm here alot since I neck deep trying to get my car back on the road.

Here's what I need to do.

Finish interior
install seatbelts
Alt problems - Light will not go out.
Re-wire Blinkers
Re-wire overdrive - get inhibitor switch
Get new top
Check brakes
Fix speedometer
and the list goes on ...
Are you ever really done....

John.
Went to your Land Rover site & checked your photos. Your interior looks great.
Have investigated Prestige for mine. From all I hear/read it seems they get the most votes.
Regards, Graham

Wow John. Wow.. Looks like you're doing some awesome work! And a 1970 to boot. The only year that is quirkely different from the rest. It is only a bumper but it is always neat to actually see one. Sounds like you're in the zone with your project.

That garage needs some more hangie thangies, a small loft, and some shelves. Is it on Gary's way to MG 2003? He could knock that little job out while he's resting from a day's drive.

LOL!, JDW, I'm trying to convince my wife I need another Garage! I don't think Gary would mind swinging by upstate NY on the way to St Louie! I sure could use the help! ;o)

John, Gary and I are having a garage raising in Pennsylvania next October. Bring your own hammer, Kim is buying the beer

Another garage may not do the trick. A friend of mine, who lives in a mobile home out in the weeds, built a 30' X 60' building about seven years ago. He's already filled it with old cars and stuff, added two stalls and a loft, and plans to double the size next year. Bet he's out of room again two years later.

You guys don't want me around any wood you plan on actually fitting a spot while you're building something. Now if you need it patched up with some plywood scraps, liquid nails, furnace tin, and sheet metal screws I can handle that and make it look real good with enough vinyl siding.

John, you get paid in beer, but you do have to produce!! :o)

John-

The new interior looks awesome and the piping is a nice touch. Really your list of fixes was'nt too bad. Are the carb's really tough to adjust? I am so looking forward to mine and maybe insulating my garage so I can work on it in the winter months. I have actually considered a "car barn" to just house "my stuff". I have the acreage but it's the damn financial part as always! This board is such an asset which I know I will need. NO limits to questions, right guys?

Thanks Tim, I can't really take too much credit for tuning the SU's. I enlisted the help of Lester at Atlantic British. AB is about 2-3 miles from my house! He helped me through my Range Rover engine rebuilt, during that process, I found out he owns a MGB (70, I believe) and used to own a MG shop. Long story short, he came over and adjusted the SU's, he had cool air flow tools and such. Be he also pointed out what each screw did and how they controlled the carbs. Now I have a better understanding of SU's and appreciate their design and simplicity.

I'm very happy with the interior kit, I dig the red piping. The seat skins look great. I've decided I need to invest in new foam, tough. In the photos I just have the pieces laying in the floor, I hope to install them this weekend.

Keep hunting.
