MGB floor/crossmember replacement advice:S

Good evening Gentlemen.
I am getting ready to dive head first into a floor and crossmember replacement on my 71 MGB. I have restored one car in my life, but it was a 69 SS Camaro (far different, but similar). I always like to load my gun with bullets before going into a battle.
If I was to buy one or two books or read one or two articles on floor/crossember replacement, what would they be? Is there a good body shop book that shows (I like pictures/illustrations) how it's done, or tricks that you guys have applied? I am NOT restoring this car, just want to make it sound and fun to drive and just plain "do it the right way"

Ray- Go to youtube and enter "An MG is Born". This is a great series that details the complete restoration of a B including the replacement of the floors.

Re: books - Lindsay Porter has a couple of MG restoration manuals, but really, the info on the web is generally better - the books skim over most/all the details.

I'm not aware of a good resource of info for the cross-member. The outer ends rust out fairly frequently, and replacements ends are available if that's all you need.

You might also search youtube for "Terrys MGB". I believe episode 20 (or there abouts) is where he points out some fitting issues with the cross member.
