A guy at work bought a completely restored BR Green MGC for $10,500 and after he bought it he was worried he got ripped off. He asked me, and I told him I,d ask all of you. So...I know I'm jealous...150 HP and a cool looking hood. Droool!
Well, it's too late now, so why ask! Tell him to just enjoy it!
I'm not an expert (on much!), but my guess is that if it really is completely restored, with no rust and running great, and no work needed, and it's a C, then $10,500 is a pretty fair price.
What Kim said....! If indeed it's what he says, then it sounds good. Of course, 'completely restored' has many different meanings to many different people. I have seen cars called 'completely restored' that had all of the cosmetics completely done over and the mechanics and underlying structure were a mess...
But I like the C as well and would like to own one.

A fair price is really any price that YOU are happy to pay. What is a fair price to me might over or even under priced to some else.
Simon's right. A car is worth whatever it's worth to the buyer.
I agree with Dan. If in fact it is a ground up restoration I would say he got a real good deal. The problem is more times than not it's made pertty and the mechanical items are made to work, and that's it.
Poor guy got ripped.
Tell him I'll give him $5k to take that wreck off his hands...
