MGTD Purchase

My dad is joining the MG ranks. He plans to purchase a disassembled TD. The cars #s are as follows:

Car # TD22944
Engine # XPAG/TD2/23413
Body Type 22381
Body # 22287/97445


There is no title, so he'll have to register it. Any idea what year it would be, and whether the engine is correct, or if not, how to find out?
